Who are we? Meet the team at

The driving force behind Research Your History is John Debenham BA (Hons), ASA.

John's specialism is the Great War and military history. He has maintained an interest in The Great War since his first battlefield visit whilst in the Territorial Army. John subsequently spent many years studying the Great War and enrolled on the MA First World War Studies programme at the University of Birmingham, becoming one of the UK's foremost experts on researching the period.

John is a member of the Western Front Association and will deal personally with any of your military enquiries. In addition we have a small team that will deal with more general enquiries and with the additional capability of consulting with many experts in varying disciplines your research project will be in very good hands.
